Tashi Delek! The Tibetan Nomad, a small shop that provides goods made by Tibetan refugees, was opened by Choezom in 2008. Choezom was born and raised in Eastern Tibet (Amdo). As a young women, she decided to journey over the Himalaya to India to receive His Holiness the Dalai Lama's blessing. While in India, she not only met His Holiness but also her future husband. They moved from India to Santa Cruz in 2003. By visiting her shop, you are not only supporting Tibetan refugees in exile but also keeping the cause of Tibetan freedom alive and well here in Santa Cruz. Choezom, her husband, and the newest member of the "Nomad" family, Tenzin Tsering, look forward to meeting you all!
